Validating a draft is simply a process where the data and documents provided are checked against a list of rules that are defined for each program to make sure all the data is present, formatted properly, and meets any eligibility criteria established by the program sponsor.
These checks can be very basic completion checks all the way up to complex multi-part eligibility assessments or anywhere in between.
If a Loan fails validation, you’ll be given instruction on what went wrong. You’ll also can correct any issues and re-submit your Loan for Validation.
You may also see a Warning Rather than an Error on some validation checks.
Warnings will not stop you from submitting your Loan to the program but rather serve as helpful reminders for common mistakes we see Enrollees make during the submission process.
