This guide provides business users a simple walkthrough for completing a new user registration for their CRF Insights account, along with a detailed overview of how to connect and manage bank accounts using the Finicity Open Banking integration. Follow these steps to correctly enter your personal information, create a secure password, and successfully access and manage your new account.
- Once your lender has registered your account, you will receive an email invitation titled CRF Insights. Open the email and click “Let’s Get Started.”
Create Your Account
2. If this is your first time accessing CRF Insights, click “Sign Up Now.”
3. Next, enter your First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and create and confirm your password.
Note: Some information may already be pre-filled by your lender. Click 'Create' to complete the form and register your new account.
4. After confirming, registering your account, and creating a password, you will be taken to the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) setup page. You can either:
- Complete the two-factor authentication setup
- OR choose to bypass setup and continue to the application; select 'Continue to app' to complete the setup and enter the application.
Complete Your Business Profile
5. After creating your account, you will be asked to provide additional information about your business. Once all required fields are completed, click “Continue” at each step.
Connect Your Bank Accounts
6. You will now be redirected to the confirmation page, where you will be prompted to securely connect your financial accounts using the Mastercard Finicity Open Banking integration. Click "Connect my accounts" to continue.
Tip! If you prefer to connect your accounts later, click “Connect My Accounts Later.”
7. You will be redirected to the Mastercard Finicity Open Banking integration. Click “Next” to begin the account data connection process.
8. You will be prompted to enter your mobile number. Providing your mobile number will allow Mastercard Data Connect to remember and access your connected accounts for faster account linking next time.
9. Enter your mobile number and click “Next” to begin the Mastercard data connection process.
Tip! If you do not want to provide a mobile number, click “Maybe Later” to continue.
Select Your Financial Institution
10. You will be taken to the financial institution search page. Click this text to search for your bank.
11. Search through the list of supported banking institutions and Select your bank from the list.
12. Click "Next".
Choose Accounts to Connect
13. Enter your online banking login credentials and Click “Submit.”
14. After successfully signing in to your financial institution, you will be able to select which accounts you want to connect to CRF Insights. Select the desired bank accounts and click “Save.”
Add Additional Accounts (Optional)
15. You can repeat this process at any time to connect additional:
- Bank accounts
- Credit accounts
- Financial institutions
To add more accounts, click “Link Another Bank.” There is no limit to the number of institutions or accounts you can connect.
16. Once you've connected all of your desired accounts, click "Continue" to complete the process and exit the Finicity Open Banking Form.
View Your Financial Data
17. After completing the connection process:
- Return to your CRF Insights dashboard, Financial tab to confirm your data is populating appropriately
- Refresh the page if your financial data does not immediately appear. Your connected financial data should begin populating within the platform shortly after the connection is established.
Manage Connected Accounts and Link Additional Accounts
Under the Account Management section on the Linked Accounts tab, you will see a list of all connected financial integrations, including linked bank accounts and accounting software integrations, if applicable.
18. From this page, you can manage existing connected accounts by clicking “Manage”.
19. To add a new account, click "Add New Connection" to follow the same account connection process used during your initial onboarding experience.
